AKASHVANI JAMMU organised a Quiz in Central University Jammu

As part of the nationwide celebrations marking 90 glorious years of Akashvani, Akashvani Jammu organized a special youth-oriented event titled “AKASHVANI @90 QUIZ” at the Central University of Jammu today.

The event aimed to commemorate the legacy of Akashvani and to encourage youth participation in broadcasting activities, promoting learning, awareness, and healthy competition among students.

The quiz was organized by the Department of Mass Communication and New Media, Central University of Jammu, under the guidance of Sh. Abhay Singh S.D. Rajpoot, Head of the Department. Dr. Umesh Kumar conducted the quiz as the Quiz Master, assisted by Sunaina Harit as Researcher and Kumar Rishikesh as Scorer.

Participants included Mangal Pandey, Swati Suman, Aditya Negi, Sanya Chaudhary, Vinit Dhar, Sanskriti Singh, Sunakshi Sharma, and Nishant Kumar, who enthusiastically showcased their knowledge and competitive spirit.

From Akashvani Jammu, Sh. Bachan Lal, Assistant Director (Programmes), Sh. Sanjeev Sharma, Programme Executive, and Sh. Sanjeev Koul, Audience Research Officer, attended the event and interacted with the students.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Abhay Singh Rajpoot appreciated the efforts of Akashvani Jammu in engaging youth through such constructive initiatives and commended its continued role in public service broadcasting.

The event successfully highlighted the enduring relevance of Akashvani as a platform for learning, expression, and national integration—continuing its mission of serving society even after nine decades of glorious broadcasting.
